Navigation buttons: The “Previous Topic” and “Next Topic” navigation buttons beneath the banner help you to move through the topic displayed and the navigation tree.

Use the browser’s back button to return to a previously viewed page (that may not necessarily be the previous topic).

The “Print Topic” button will allow you to print all or part of the open topic. This button renders typical browser-style print quality. If you use the browser’s print function instead of these buttons, you will only print text visible on the screen (and not collapsed material or additional pages).

If you want a higher quality print version of text, use the “Print Full Document” button to open the PDF version and select the sections that you wish to print. The best quality print is generated from the full document PDF, which is optimized for hard copy reading and best print quality.

You can bookmark sections of this document. Each section has a unique URL, so it can be shared, emailed, or saved in the browser bookmarks (as you would save a normal browser favorite or bookmark).

Using popups: Some supporting information is accessible through popups in this document. When you click a popup, the popup material will appear in front of the text that you were reading, and the text will be grayed out in the background. To return to the text, click anywhere in the gray area surrounding the popup.

New Window Navigation: Some supporting information is presented in new browser windows (rather than popups) for extended reading. Click “Open topic with navigation” if you wish to open the document navigation panel on the left.

The topics tab offers links to specific material of for specific audiences (such as regulators or consultants), as well as some additional tools that might be useful for all audiences.

Browse Special Topics: Click the Topics tab to review document information organized by relevance to specific audiences. Once the topic is open, click Expand Topic to read the entire topic, or click individual items as needed.

How do I review the study questions and methods in parallel? How do I view separate parts of the document in separate screens?

Open the study question of interest. Right click on the link for the method of interest. Select “Open link in a new window with navigation”. This approach works for any link you wish to view in a separate window.

In your browser, find the settings for Open pages in tabs instead of windows. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Tabs>Settings and select “Always open pop-ups in a new tab”.

For Safari, there are three choices for opening pages in tabs: Automatically, Never, Always.

In Firefox or Google Chrome, all links automatically open in a new tab.
